Chuck's Blog - Chuck Hollis

Chuck writes in his profile:
Chuck Hollis has been with EMC for 12 years, and is Vice President of Technology Alliances at EMC. He frequently speaks to customer audiences about a variety of technology topics, and can usually be counted on for an interesting point of view. He lives in Holliston, MA with his wife, three kids and two dogs when he's not traveling. Chuck enjoys piano, mountain biking and skiing -- in that order.

I liked the FeedJit widget that he uses so much that I set it up on one of my own blogs. If it works well as it seems to, I may expand its use elsewhere.

Spend some time on Chuck's site. If you are into marketing and technology, the six degrees of separation here may put you one step closer to where you want to be.

Brain Frieze

Kim writes:

I am a native of south Florida, and currently live in West Palm Beach. Although my time in college and the Army took me away from home for 10 years, I've otherwise been living in the land of sunshine, Africa-hot summers, and early bird specials all my life.

I am currently on Career 3.1. After working full-time as a web design teacher for the Palm Beach County School District I moved up the career ladder and now work at the district office where I am responsible for web stuff in general, and our Learning Tools web site in particular. Career 1.0 saw me in the Army as a Field Artillery officer for 6 years. In Career 2.0 I spent 10 years running the family business, designing and building custom furniture and cabinets.

His blog has cool categories, amongst them I found

5 for Friday

It Friday and time to catch up on some good sites.

1 - Do you take photos? Would you like some tips and tricks? Via email or RSS?
Check out Photojojo!

2 - Ever dreamed of hitchhiking around the USA? Yes, I know we focus on the blogosphere but in so doing we found (yes, somewhat late) a site that tracked the trip to all 50 states in the USA and they blogged about it on their way. Still good to go back and see what and how they did it. Check out Hitch 50!

3 - One of IBM's leaders in innovation, Irving Wladawsky-Berger, has his own blog and it is well worth spending some time with.

4 - How about stopping by a fellow Massachuesett's blogger:

I'm a 37 year-old hominid known to inhabit Westford, Massachusetts. I was born in Athens, Greece of American parents, and raised in Saugerties, New York. I am a 1991 graduate of Harvard College, with a degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics. I am a member of the American Philatelic Society, the American Topical Association, the United States Chess Federation, the Massachusetts Chess Association, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, the American Homebrewers Association, the New England Historic Genealogical Society, the ACM, the OASIS ODF TC, the OASIS ODF Adoption TC, INCITS V1 and a trained SkyWarn weather spotter. I work for IBM, as a performance architect, as well as on various ODF technical topics. In my free time I grow and eat berries. A lot of them.

Check out Rob Weir at An Antic Disposition.

5 - Finally for today (but only for today, as of course the trail goes on) Mark Healey's blog where you get a host of good stuff as well as links to other sites including
Jude Healey Photography My wife's gig
Jude and Mark The other side of this web

So have a good time cruising this Friday!

Things That Make You Go Hmm

No, C & C Music Factory hasn't decided to blog. TDavid is actually the author of this fine blog, called Things That Make You Go Hmm, an interesting blog all about technology, music, art, and news reviews. Definitely worth checking out if you're into any of the listed items, as TDavid's reviews are never boring. I particularly enjoy the way he puts himself in the pictures of the products he's reviewing, and his smiling face makes me wonder what's behind that brain of his?

Particularly interesting recently is his video on how to press and grill hamburgers. Ah, just in time for summer!

[Phil Gerbyshak is the author of 10 Ways to Make It Great! and can be found most days writing at Make It Great! He also currently serves as the editor of 100 Bloggers, where he helps connect the unconnected.]

Deb-Tech by Deb Shinder

The trail takes us to the world of technology where Deb Shinder has been writing one of the better newsletters for some time and make a stop at Deb-Tech, one of her blogs.
This blog is a place for readers of my books, print and online articles and WXPnews newsletter to come for more tech-related info, and a place where I can expand on the ideas expressed in those other formats and answer questions posed by readers.
She does her personal blogging at Deep Space 10.

Her website provides a view into all the writing she does.

Who knew that she
is a former police officer/criminal justice instructor who now makes her living as a technical author, trainer and speaker. She has written or contributed to 26 books, published over 200 articles and has been living online, along with her husband Tom (whom she met via the Internet), since the mid-1990s.
Consider adding Deb-Tech to your RSS Reader and keep up with the happenings in the world of technology.
